Madison Heinen

Empathetic, Open-minded, Calm

Madison is joining LiveHealGrow fulltime after 5 years of experience in community mental health and 1 year as an intern learning at LiveHealGrow. She previously interned at a domestic violence shelter and residential substance use treatment program for women. She earned her master’s degree in social work from Indiana Wesleyan University. Madison has primarily worked with adults in crisis, navigating depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, conflict, and stress. She is especially passionate about the use of DBT, or dialectical behavioral therapy, in helping individuals manage intense emotions, improve interpersonal relationships, and work toward meaningful personal growth. She uses a solution-focused approach to help clients gain confidence in their ability to solve problems and navigate life’s challenges with resilience. In her free time, Madison enjoys spending time with her friends and family, trying out new restaurants and coffee shops, and prioritizing self-care. She’s always on the lookout for a new show to binge.
